# Visibility and publishing

BoxerBase has several independent visibility switches: event publish, participant visibility, per-timeslot matchlist publishing, and results. If someone cannot see something, one of these is off.

## Event publish

A new event is a **draft** and completely hidden. Pressing **Publish** makes the event page public:

- The event appears on the events calendar.
- With registration dates set and open, clubs can register.
- With registration opening in the future, people see the event but cannot register yet.

The event link does not change when you publish.

## Participant visibility

Under **Settings → General** you choose what visitors see about registrations:

- **Full visibility**: registered participants are listed.
- **Until registration is closed**: participants are hidden until you close registration.
- **Show number of opponents**: names hidden, but each class shows its boxer count.
- **Hidden**: no participants shown.

Two related switches: **max participants** (a hard limit; only you can register past it) and **last time for clubs to update their registrations** (after this, clubs can swap or remove boxers but not add new ones).

## Matchlist publishing

Matchlists are invisible to the public until you publish them, per timeslot. This lets you draw and plan day 2 without day 1's audience seeing unfinished lists.

- Publish each timeslot separately from the **Matches** page.
- The draw becomes visible to everyone once done, even before the matchlist is published.
- Some views require sign-in even for officials: if a bout is missing when you scan a start card on your phone, sign in and check that the day is published.

## Results

Announced results are public for published sessions. If only Wednesday is published, Wednesday results are the only ones visible. Publish a session to release its results.

## Checklist when nothing is visible

1. Is the event published (not a draft)?
2. Is the session or timeslot published?
3. Is participant visibility set to show anything?
4. Are you signed in? Some views require it even for officials.
