Check-in and weigh-in#

This page explains the difference between check-in and weigh-in, how to record them on the day, and how they gate the draw. A boxer becomes draw-eligible through either one.

Check-in vs weigh-in#

  • Check-in: records that a boxer showed up. No weight is entered.
  • Weigh-in: records that the boxer showed up and their weight.

Either one makes a boxer eligible for the draw. If your competition only checks boxers in (common when weighing happens daily per bout), create a check-in and use it. You do not need weights to run the draw.

Setting up#

Create check-ins and weigh-ins under Settings → Weigh-ins, with a date and time for each. You can create several: one per day, or one per session.

Recording boxers on the day#

Three ways, all from the Participants tab:

  1. List: select the weigh-in at the top, mark boxers as checked in or weighed in, and enter the weight.
  2. Printed start cards: select the boxers and press Print cards extended, print them, then scan the QR code with a signed-in phone.
  3. Paper: run weigh-ins on paper and enter the results afterwards. After matches are generated, the weigh-in is a record only and affects nothing.

Weighing a boxer in on a day when that weigh-in is not scheduled shows a warning. You can still proceed by entering the weight.

Common questions#

Why does drawing, locking or splitting a group produce nothing? Only boxers who are checked in or weighed in are eligible, and a group needs at least two eligible boxers. Check boxers in and try again.

Can we draw before the weigh-in? Yes. Draw eligibility is check-in or weigh-in. Many events check everyone in at entry check, draw, and weigh in per day.

A boxer missed weight. What now? Remove them from the group and reset and redraw if matches were already generated, or set their bouts as Walkover from the matchlist (three dots → Set result).

The class I want is missing when moving a boxer. The boxer’s registered weight limits the classes offered. Toggle Show all in the class selector to see lower weight classes.

Daily weigh-ins#

Create one weigh-in per competition day under Settings → Weigh-ins. You can print participant cards with lines to write weights on for the medical check, and manage the digital record per day.
